Photography underway.......

so, a couple weekends ago, I took Blake and Emma to get their pictures taken by Hope, a girl I went to high school with. We went down to Heritage Park and although, it felt like 185% humidity out there, we had a great time and she got some VERY good shots. This, once again, got my interest sparked back up to taking some photography classes and doing photography as a side job, which I have always loved and wanted to do. So, I signed up for one class that will be next Thursday, Sept. 2nd. After that one, I can sign up for more, which I will be doing. This is going to be great and I am VERY excited about this opportunity to do something I LOVE. Here are some pictures that I have taken and edited....

3rd grade underway......

Well, it's going on the 3rd day of school now and Blake has done really well. He wouldn't ride the bus because the bully being in his class all day and then he would have to ride the bus with him and the bus was where all the trouble was last school year, so he decided to do extended day and go to before school and after school and avoid the bus all together. It's been fun for him. He gets to watch a movie in the morning and in the afternoon, he can read (which he loves) or play on the computer and he is lovin that. Already studying for 3 tests on Friday (they waste no time). All in all, it's been a great week for him so far and I am happy about that. He has a little girl in his class that is in childrens church with him on Sundays and she told her mom that she and her friend were going to watch Blake and the bully and if he messed with Blake in class, they were going to tell the teacher, so atleast he has a couple kids he can count on to watch his back. The teacher is great, very sweet. I can only hope now that when she goes on maternity leave in 3-4 weeks, they will get a good substitute teacher....time will tell....

3rd grade...here we come!!!

so last night, Blake and I went to meet his teacher and see if he knew any of his classmates. He knows one little girl that goes to our church and then, of course, two boys that bullied him around last year just happens to be in class with him this year. OH NO!!! Blake was terrified. He would not come from behind me and while I was sitting in the chair filling out paperwork, he stayed like glue next to my arm or ducked behind my shoulder. Why did they have to be in this class??? I feel so bad for him. He was so scared. I tried to get him to say hello to them and he said "no, I'm scared" and I asked him why and he said, "they will hurt me and beat me up." That just breaks my heart. He finally gets a good teacher this year and can't be really happy about it because of the bullies. GOD HELP HIM, be with him and give him strength and peace to make it through each day.

Emma and the water

My little fishy FINALLY got use to her float this weekend in the pool and absolutely LOVED it.....Here are a couple of pictures from our weekend fun in the pool....

On overload......

well, it finally came down to it and I had to reschedule my surgery. I am suppose to be stress free to decrease healing time and with everything going on, I could not see that happening, so we reschedule. Just so happens, my surgeon is out of the country for about 2-3 weeks out of August, so it's moved to September 21st. I had my Xk2 babies (the 3,4 and 5 year olds I teach on Sunday at church) singing in big church that Sunday morning and our JBQ team (that I help coach) would be having our first fundraiser that Sunday night after church, Blake goes to Birmingham Monday to meet with the surgeon who did his surgery for followup and Upper GI, Blake has another appt on Wednesday, 3rd grade orientation Wednesday night, Blake eye appt Thursday morning and getting school supplies done, then his first week of 3rd grade......I would have to miss ALL of this because I would be right in the middle of recoup time and I can't see that happening. I would be stressed to the max, so we thought about it and felt best that I reschedule. Now, in the middle of planning our JBQ fundraiser...fun, busy times....

Blakester and Em

Can't believe we are gearing up to send Blake off to 3rd grade. WOW! Time flies. Looking forward to finding out this week who his new teacher will be. Summer break is now down to 21 days. My boy is getting so big, but he keeps getting sweeter and sweeter. Last night he told me he would love me forever and ever and he loves me all the way down deep in his heart!! HOW SWEET!!!!!!!!!! He tells me that he is my #1 love and dad is my #2 love. He knows who comes first.... :) He has been working on his swimming and going under water and has trusted his dad to help him with that and this weekend he broke a fear and even did a flip under water. YAY!! Go Blake!

Emma is now trying to run instead of walk..she has figured out she can get around now and she does not like to stay still for long at all. Still loves to eat what doesn't eat her first. There isn't one food that I can think of she has turned away at all. She is learning new words daily it seems. Now it's bubba, mama, dada, daddy, Emma, up, down, uh oh, out....before long, she will never stop talking....we are gonna have our hands full with her :) Such a joy!
